Located at the foot of Mont Auxois, site of the famous battle of Alésia, the Golf de Venarey is a nearby course accessible to players of all levels.

C'est au pied du mont Auxois que le golf de Venarey-les-Laumes déploie les 2 075 metres de son parcours 7 trous (par 27), transformable, au grè des envies, en 9 ou 18 trous.

Là, en pleine terre mandubienne, marquée à jamais par la défaîte du chef arverne Vercingetorix, dont l'immense statue d'Aimè Millet est visible depuis le parcours, on vient jouer en toute décontraction, dans une ambiance rurale et conviviale.

Ce sont les grands atouts de ce club de bénévoles passionnés qui compte un unique salarié, propose un abonnement annuel à 180€ et échange un green-fee à la journée contre un billet de 20€.

Cerné par la rivière la Brenne, comme l'oppidum dAlesia le fut par les troupes de César en 52 avant J-C, le parcours requiert adresse et précision, pour attraper de petites greens bien défendus.

Dynamiques et organisés, les golfeurs laumois partagent l'Amical Cup avec six clubs des environs et comptent à leur calendrier huit competitions et un championnat de match-play.
